Computer Educational Series
We are producing a series of educational videos that will be made available online, free of charge.    Our current project is to make videos that teach people how to make their own movies using only a computer, a microphone, and a cheap digital camera.

When this step has been completed, we will participate in a network already begun, to develop a series for kindergarten through grade twelve, and later, an online university with a medical school, to be used in conjunction with assistantships.

In analyzing the root causes
of social dysfunction, we have arrived at the conclusion that the single most productive effort would be to improve our methods of education.  It has been said that a picture is worth a thousand words.  But a moving picture accompanied by sound may be worth 100,000 words.

During the the history of human development over millions of years, we have evolved to learn through sights and sounds.  The printed word is a very recent development.  One can read well, yet learn poorly by reading.  This may well be an innate property of the brain, as opposed to a fault in education.

With modern technology, we can put a 30 volume set of encyclopedias onto a single CD ROM.   But we need to go further.  We can make a quantum leap in education by putting downloadable training programs in an audio-visual format on the web.

We have the capability now.  We can capture the lecture portion of an entire

medical-school curriculum in a digital format.  The use of cadavers to study anatomy is already being phased out in favor of three-dimensional computer modeling.  A virtual practice, with real-life simulated clinical problems that challenge creativity and problem-solving skills is under development.  This can be supplemented by hands-on assistantships and associations in ones local area or a wide variety of settings.

The implications are enormous.
If we can greatly accelerate the assimilation of factual information, then we will have much more time and energy for creative work.  If we are to solve the problems of disease, a failing education system, energy shortages, environmental harms, and unfair government, we will need to allot more time to finding such solutions, and expand our capacity for invention and creative thought.

Many of the educational systems in place today are laborious, inefficient and cumbersome. Rather than opening young people's minds to knowledge, they actually hinder innate curiosities and interfere with the minds creative processes. Furthermore, from a global perspective, quality education - as it presently exists - is inaccessible to most people.  Fortunately, we can quickly change this situation.

First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.
