QuickTime Player and QuickTime Pro 

The QuickTime Player is a free media player that can display images or play a wide variety of audio and video formats.    

QuickTime Pro is not only a media player, but also contains excellent editing tools that you can use in order to create your tutorial videos and prepare them for distribution.   QuickTime Pro 6.0 allows you to transform AVI files into edited videos or slide shows and to save your creations in a variety of media formats.
